Changes in library image creation on the example of the Main Library of the Medical University of Warsaw
Abstract
Nowadays, the libraries have to pay more attention to promotion than in the past, when occasional exhibitions, meetings with authors and posters advertising new books in the collection were enough. Unlimited access to information and documents makes it increasingly difficult for libraries to be attractive institutions. The libraries need to attract readers not only with their resources but also with the events they organise. In this article the issue of image promotion is discussed on the example of the Main Library of the Medical University of Warsaw.
