Abstract
Stress is a common occurrence and has since long been experienced by library users. In the 1960s, researchers noticed that readers feel anxious while using libraries, which has led to coinage of the term “library anxiety”. This article discusses the results of a survey regarding the comfort of using the 1st branch of the Main Library of Wroclaw Medical University and exemplifies building the image of an open institution.
