Overview of the interests and hobbies of the staff in the Medical Library of the Nicolaus Copernicus University Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz and their impact on professional work performance
Abstract
The article discusses the results of a survey on the impact of librarians’ interests and hobbies on their professional work, conducted among the staff of the Medical Library of the Nicolaus Copernicus University Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz, and compares them with other studies devoted to similar topics. It also includes a brief reminder of the definitions of the terms ‘interest’, ‘passion’, and ‘hobby’, emphasizing the importance of hobbies in human life and their beneficial effects on mental and emotional health.
